Asthma Too

We had a Dr. appointment yesterday that confirmed the suspicions I've had for a long time... MG does have mild Asthma which is contributing to her reoccurring croup and colds. We now have some ways we hope to combat it early on to avoid long periods of coughing and wheezy breathing. Apparently it's not uncommon for kids with allergies to have eczema (which she does) and asthma. I think of it as a vicious triangle that can too easily connect all three.

As if my paranoia isn't already at a all time high, I found this information on FAAN
http://www.foodallergy.org/
Two recent FAAN studies involving a total of 63 cases of fatal food-allergy-induced anaphylaxis showed that adolescents who have peanut and tree nut allergy and asthma, and who don't have quick access to epinephrine during a reaction, are at highest risk for a fatal reaction.

It's a good reminder to keep on our course and be 'the annoying parents' who fight for her safety every where we go!

I am so sorry to hear that. Hopefully it won't be a huge problem. The froggy candy story was cute!
